- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Cardiovascular ICU experience mandatory, including open heart and balloon pump experience
- First-time travelers accepted over 50 miles from location or out of state
- Care for adult and geriatric patient population
- Responsible for managing critically ill patients, including those requiring ventilator support, arterial lines, central/PICC lines, and blood product administration
- Average census of 24 patients in a 28-bed unit
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call requirement
- Self-scheduling available
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Essential skills:
- Dysrhythmia interpretation
- IV insulin protocol management
- Arterial line management
- Blood product administration
- Central line and PICC line care/management
- IV insertion
- Care for ventilated patients
- ABG interpretation
- Suctioning
- Required certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH
- VIP, MAB, or CPI (in-person courses only)
- Must submit all requested time off (RTO) with initial application; no RTO allowed in first two weeks of assignment
- RTO requests are final upon submission for the 13-week contract
