American ShengSheng Pharmaceutics Supply Chain is an international logistics company that provides professional and integrated solutions for global time and temperature sensitive cargo transportation. Professionally serving the life science, biotechnology and pharmaceutical research industries, supporting the international end-to-end transportation of clinical trial products, samples, commercial drugs, and biological and IVD reagents worldwide. The scope of services ranges from cold chain transportation, warehousing to customs clearance. At the same time, the technology in cold chain packaging has also been certified by most organizations around the world, and has been praised by thousands of partners and customers.

About the job

We are in search of a Business Development Manager to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be in charge of researching and identifying promising business opportunities, devising and implementing strategies to amplify sales, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders. The perfect candidate is a driven, organized, creative individual who relishes the challenges of obtaining and advancing new business through sales initiatives. You should possess a thorough understanding of the industry, superb communication skills, and the capacity to think both strategically and analytically.

As the Director of Business Development, you will also take on the responsibility of leading and guiding the team, formulating long-term strategies while maintaining an eye on short-term objectives, to ensure the successful growth and expansion of the company's business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the company's presence and market share in the pharmaceutical cold chain industry.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions, to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, logistics providers, regulatory agencies, and industry associations.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence.
  • Lead the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies to promote the company's cold chain solutions and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance the company's visibility and reputation.
  • Monitor industry regulations, compliance requirements, and quality standards to ensure adherence and mitigate risks.
  • Prepare and present business proposals, contracts, and pricing negotiations to prospective clients.
  • Manage the business development team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Extensive experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles within the pharmaceutical cold chain industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of cold chain logistics, temperature-controlled storage, and distribution practices in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Proven track record in identifying and closing business opportunities, achieving revenue targets, and building successful partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the pharmaceutical industry, including FDA regulations and GDP guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical abilities to identify market trends, evaluate the competitive landscape, and develop effective business strategies.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, foster a collaborative work environment, and drive results.
