Job Description & Requirements Specialty : ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : RN - ICU Job Details : Work 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM or 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM 2-week block schedule created by management with nights grouped in 3-4 consecutive shifts Every other weekend requirement May be asked to participate in holiday rotation if it falls on regularly scheduled shift 4-bed ICU unit with 1 : 2 nurse to patient ratios Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (TNCC and PALS preferred) Must have ICU experience - will accept first-time travelers Must be comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips Required to titrate drips including Propofol, Levophen, Dobutamine, Precedex, Fentanyl, Insulin, Esmolol, Versed, and Ketamine Common patient diagnoses include DKA, septic shock, ETOH withdrawal, hypoxemia, acute respiratory distress, and COVID Any color scrubs allowed 1-2 shift orientation with preceptor EPIC charting system No call or standby requirements Floating requirements to IMCU, MS, or ED (as helping hands if no ED experience) No BSN requirement Must be able to function with limited resources in small community hospital setting Facility : This 40-bed community hospital operates as a Level 4 trauma center providing comprehensive acute care services. The facility features an ICU, intermediate care unit, and medical-surgical units all located on the same floor, promoting collaborative care delivery. The hospital maintains 24 / 7 hospitalist coverage with intensivist support Monday through Friday, supplemented by telemedicine consultation during off-hours and weekends.
