Job Description:
This position is for a Lead Pastor, part-time ( hours per week). Pay will commensurate with education and experience.
Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Lead Pastor to direct our congregation in spiritual growth and community outreach. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities and a deep commitment to serving others.
Qualifications: Two (2) years prior experience as a pastor is preferred. If not already ordained, must begin process of being ordained with the Evangelical Friends Church - Eastern Region (EFC-ER) within six (6) months of hire date.
Essential Duties: Be committed to a deep personal relationship with God. Provide spiritual guidance and pastoral care to congregation members. Lead worship services to include preaching biblically-based sermons and conducting communion observance. Oversee the overall direction and growth of church ministry. Visitation to the sick and offering comfort in challenging times. Officiate weddings, conduct funerals and perform baptisms as available. Attend monthly Administrative Council meetings. Attend EFC-ER yearly meeting in Ohio when possible. Be familiar with EFC-ER Faith and Practice and agree to these policies (can be found at EFCER.ORG).
