Job Summary
Under the direction of the Coordinator / Administrator, the Migrant Education Program Specialist is responsible for providing training for instructional and support service staff, and in cooperation with classroom teachers, provides supplemental instruction to assigned migrant students.

Knowledge of :
Technology programs and data entry
Understand and relate to the needs of migrant students and parents
Knowledge of instructional material and teaching methodology; that best meets the needs of migrant students
Knowledge of current research and literature / that impacts migrant students
Skills and Abilities :
Possess an appropriate California vehicle operator's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles and be insurable
Interact with and maintain cooperative relationships with all levels of staff and the public
Communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writing
Ability to work cooperatively with district and regional personnel that impact migrant students and parents
All foreign transcripts must be evaluated by a third party to determine the equivalent U.S. degree and major, and the Foreign Transcript Evaluation must be attached to your application before your application will be considered.
