Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Tax Analyst to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of up to $35.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Review and respond to tax-related emails and notices from state and local agencies, as well as third-party providers
  • Audit payroll tax setups and validate filings submitted through systems like ADP SmartCompliance
  • Monitor and reconcile tax log notices, ensuring alignment with internal records and external submissions
  • Register new state and local tax accounts as needed to support business expansion
  • Conduct research and analysis to resolve discrepancies in payroll tax filings and ensure compliance

Requirements :

  • A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in payroll tax operations, preferably in a high-volume environment
  • Familiarity with multi-state tax regulations, including Nevada MBT, Delaware Training Tax, and Washington LNI
  • Experience managing quarterly and semi-annual tax filings and responding to agency inquiries
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and other advanced functions
  • Ability to work independently and handle a variety of analytical tasks with accuracy

    • Qualifications :

  • A strong understanding of payroll tax processes and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills for managing complex tax issues
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and reconciling payroll tax reports
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
  • Detail-oriented and adaptable, capable of managing shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
