Seeking a motivated Scheduling Clerk to work full time in the Radiology department at Oro Valley Hospital.
Summary:
Performs scheduling of complex imaging procedures and verification of insurance eligibility and benefits. Determines medical necessity of scheduled procedures. Works in conjunction with patient access staff to assist in upfront collections.
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education:
Preferred: High School diploma/GED; medical terminology, basic coding course
Experience:
Required: Two years of insurance verification experience and one year of procedure scheduling experience.
Skills:
Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.
Licenses/Certifications:
Preferred: Medical terminology and basic coding
