Robert Half Management Resources is looking for an experienced controller to support one of our construction clients on an interim basis. This contract position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who excels in construction accounting and enjoys contributing directly to the success of a dynamic business. Responsibilities :

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Oversee job costing processes to ensure accurate tracking of labor, materials, and overhead against project budgets.
• Lead and mentor teams responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
• Prepare detailed financial statements and key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide strategic decision-making.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and support increased business volume.
• Ensure compliance with Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting requirements and maintain accurate project financial records.
• Collaborate with leadership to provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
• Supervise vendor payments, collections, and payroll to maintain smooth financial operations.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills and construction-specific software to streamline accounting tasks and reporting.
