Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Epic Beacon Implementation Analyst to support a full Epic implementation for a large healthcare organization. This consultant will serve as the primary / lead analyst for the Beacon Oncology module , responsible for driving system design, build, testing, training, and go-live support.
The ideal candidate has successfully completed at least one full Epic implementation as a primary or lead Beacon analyst and brings deep experience supporting complex oncology workflows, including chemotherapy ordering, regimen management, scheduling coordination, and therapy administration documentation.
This role is fully remote , with limited anticipated travel to Tennessee for high-impact project activities such as workflow validation, integrated testing, dress rehearsals, and go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary analyst for Epic Beacon Oncology throughout the full implementation lifecycle.
Lead discovery and workflow design sessions with oncology, infusion center, pharmacy, nursing, and operational leadership.
Translate complex clinical oncology workflows into Epic Beacon configurations and best-practice system designs.
Build and configure Beacon therapy plans, regimens, protocols, scheduling workflows, documentation tools, and treatment administration processes.
Partner closely with Willow Pharmacy analysts to ensure seamless medication build, dispensing, and administration workflows for oncology therapies.
Support integration with Epic Ambulatory, Cadence, ClinDoc, and infusion billing workflows.
Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans including unit testing, integrated testing, and UAT specific to oncology and infusion workflows.
Assist in data conversion for oncology protocols, treatment plans, and patient therapy data where applicable.
Create training materials and facilitate provider and clinical staff training sessions as needed.
Support go-live planning activities and provide on-site or remote activation assistance.
Contribute to command center coverage and post-go-live stabilization efforts.
Document workflows, build specifications, testing outcomes, and end-user support materials.
Requirements Required Qualifications
Epic Beacon certification , active or previously certified.
Demonstrated experience supporting oncology workflows including therapy planning, protocol management, chemo safety protocols, and infusion administration.
Completion of at least one full Epic implementation as a primary or lead Beacon analyst .
5+ years of Epic oncology or infusion application analyst experience.
Proven ability to function independently in a complex remote project environment.
Strong understanding of oncology clinical operations and regulatory / safety requirements.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary oncology teams including physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, infusion center leadership, and IT project stakeholders.
Exceptional communication and facilitation skills for clinician-facing workflow sessions and training events.

Involvement in large-scale or multi-site oncology implementations.
Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools related to oncology treatment performance metrics.
