Clinical & Pharmacy Liaison

Gastro Florida is the largest gastroenterology group in Tampa Bay with over 65 providers and over 25 locations in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando and Polk counties. Gastro Florida offers G.I. screening & treatment, colon cancer prevention, non-surgical cancer intervention, IBD infusions & therapy, nutrition & weight loss services, monitoring between visits, pharmacy & pathology services, and the latest therapies, including clinical research, to provide an integrated patient experience. Our mission is to provide general and advanced/interventional gastroenterology services in an Affable, Affordable & Accessible manner for Accurate Answers.

We are seeking competent, conscientious, service-oriented individuals with strong character to assist with our in-house pharmacy operations including prior authorizations for multiple specialty medications for Gastro Florida patients as well as traditional pharmacy technician duties. This individual will work onsite and be the liaison between Gastro Florida's clinical locations, the corporate office and Gastro Florida Pharmacy. They will work under the direction of the Community Affairs Manager and the Gastro Florida corporate office. This individual may be required to travel to health fairs, treatments facilities and our Gastro Florida offices.

Required Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent, 2 years of medical office experience working with insurances to obtain medication prior authorizations for specialty medications such as biologics.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent, 2 years of specialty pharmacy experience working with insurances to obtain medication prior authorizations for specialty medications such as biologics.

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants with 4 years' experience as MA, LPN, pharmacy tech, pharmacy certification CPhT and/or community outreach clinics.

eClinicalWorks experience.

Criminal background and drug screening required as well as excellent professional references.
