Summary

A Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying interactive dashboards, reports, and visual analytics solutions to support business intelligence and decision-making. This role focuses on transforming raw data into meaningful insights, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and usability across business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations for business stakeholders.
• Connect to multiple data sources, including SQL databases, Excel, cloud platforms, and APIs.
• Transform and model data to create efficient and optimized datasets for reporting.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
• Perform data validation, quality checks, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate reporting.
• Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Implement row-level security, access controls, and governance policies for data.
• Document dashboards, data sources, and calculations for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with Power BI features, best practices, and business intelligence trends.
• Provide training and guidance to business users on leveraging Power BI reports effectively.
• Participate in agile development processes, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior BI developers and contribute to standardizing BI practices across teams.
