Manager of Research Laboratory Science

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Vice President for Research and Biotechnology this position will manage all aspects of the physical research laboratory space at WesternU. This position will work with the faculty students and staff throughout the university to maintain existing equipment and order new equipment and supplies as necessary to support the research mission of the University. This position manages the orientation and training of individuals given access to conduct research in the research laboratories; this includes new faculty graduate students post-doctoral fellows and laboratory volunteers or guests. This position is tasked with insuring that the Universitys laboratories are ready for inspection by internal and external entities. Therefore chemical hygiene experience / knowledge is a must for this position. This position may also include providing assistance in conducting experiments and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education : Bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences or related field. Experience : 2 to 3 years of research laboratory experience.

Education : Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences or related field
