A well-known financial services organization is seeking a Controller for their Los Angeles headquarters. The Controller is a high-impact role overseeing an accounting manager and a talented team of accounting professionals, offering the opportunity to drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and shape the finance function at a critical time for the business.

The Controller will manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, and internal controls, while mentoring and supervising the accounting manager and staff. This role requires a CPA with strong leadership experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, financial services environment.

Responsibilities :

• Lead daily accounting operations and team oversight.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting manager and team to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and professional growth.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements applicable to the financial services industry.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis.
• Partner with senior management to provide insights and recommendations for operational and financial improvements.
