Manager of Detection Engineering

A company is looking for a Manager, Detection Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Lead detection engineers to identify and investigate threats in endpoint, cloud, and identity telemetry

Manage, mentor, and coach direct reports while defining operational metrics for improvement

Build relationships across security operations and lead root cause analysis for investigative quality issues

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or security engineering team with people management experience

Technical proficiency with Identity, Cloud, and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tools

Desire to mentor and manage technical direct and indirect reports

Experience in creating and managing operational metrics to enhance team efficiency

Ability to manage relationships with organizational leaders and drive initiatives to completion
