Preconstruction Estimator Miami, FL

Position Objectives

Support the preconstruction team by performing takeoffs analyzing subcontractor proposals and contributing to detailed and conceptual estimates.

Key Responsibilities

Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns.

Review project details with coordinators to ensure solicitation and coverage from the proper subcontractors.

Assist in subcontractor bid solicitation and evaluation.

Identify and resolve design conflicts and missing information.

Prepare scope comparison sheets and bid tabs.

Support preparation of GMP proposals and cost narratives.

Work collaboratively with internal preconstruction operations team members as well as Owner and design team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

37 years of estimating experience within the construction industry.

Proficient in takeoff and estimating software systems.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education / Certifications

Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field preferred.
