The Vice President, Underwriting P&C Binding will play a crucial role in driving renewal and new business underwriting. Managing relationships with clients and partners, and leading our skilled team of insurance professionals in our CA offices.

The VP, Underwriting P&C Binding will work in our Santa Rosa, CA office.

Responsibilities :

• Lead the binding team in the pursuit of new business opportunities and expansion of existing programs and all renewal underwriting.
• Manage relationships with clients and partners to ensure satisfaction and compliance with program administration agreements
• Drive the planning process to achieve annual new business goals
• Identify opportunities for product development and negotiate with insurance carriers to enhance program offerings
• Oversee underwriting procedures, guidelines, and best practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and carrier standards
• Foster relationship management with key agents and brokers, striving to exceed customer expectations
• Coach and mentor direct reports, helping them define and achieve common goals
• Evaluate program actuarial results and negotiate with carriers
• Monitor premium and rate variance and participate in state pricing reviews, budget planning, and territory reviews.
• Champion the new ConceptOne (Agency Management System) for full business adoption and process improvement as identified.

Requirements :

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The base pay range for this role will be $200,000 to $250,000 . Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
