Physical Therapist (PRN)

About us :   At BrightStar Care of New Mexico, we are dedicated to providing a higher standard of home health and rehabilitative services, our team is passionate about helping patients regain mobility, independence, and quality of life- all in the comfort of their homes or care facilities. We are currently seeking an experienced PRN Physical Therapist to join our growing team.

Responsibilities :

As a Physical Therapist, you will play a key role in improving patients' lives through personalized, evidence-based care. Responsibilities include :

Deliver physical therapy services in accordance with physician orders.

Perform assessments of muscle strength, mobility, gait, and range of motion.

Develop individualized care and exercise programs tailored to patient needs.

• Provide gait training and recommend / teach the use of assistive devices.

Educate patients, families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and equipment.

Document patient progress and communicate updates to the Director of Nursing and physician.

Participate in case conferences and discharge planning.

Qualifications :

Education : Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree

Licensure : Current, active Physical Therapy license in the state of New Mexico; must have passed the NPTE and state exam.

Experience : At least 2 years of physical therapy experience (home health or facility preferred).

Skills : Strong knowledge of PT methods, evidence- based practices, and ability to work collaboratively with patients and healthcare teams.

Physical Requirements : Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing. walking, bending, kneeling, and other physical activities required in care delivery.
