Position :

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer at our Longmont, CO location.

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for leading the mechanical design of system components for both standard and custom machinery. This includes responsibility for the master layout and all aspects of the mechanical design. This role must coordinate other mechanical engineers on projects, controls engineers, and software engineers to make sure the final solution meets all performance, budget, and schedule requirements.

The ideal candidate is not only passionate about designing machines, but also eager to stay engaged through the build and implementation phases, supporting the team, solving problems and helping bring the design to life.

Duties include but are not limited to :

• Responsible for the mechanical design of systems from concept through acceptance testing.
• Responsible for master layout and all aspects of the mechanical design, working with and coordinating other mechanical engineers on the project, controls, and software engineers to make sure the design meets performance, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Works closely with the entire Mechanical Engineering department.
• Cooperate closely with all other departments (Controls, Software, Purchasing, Fabrication, Applications, and Service).
• Help generate technical concepts, layouts, technical calculations, and cost calculations.
• Makes customer site visits as necessary to help solve field issues.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
