Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,034 per week in Lexington, KY

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : PACU Duration : 8 weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 1 year in ICU required. IR PACU experience required. Experience caring for pediatric patients required. License : Compact or KY State License required. Certifications : ACLS BLS NIHSS PALS (must be willing to obtain prior to start) Must-Have : 3-4 late stays required per 6 weeks. Ability to care for patients recovering from interventional radiology procedures. Willing to float within the hospital or to nearby facilities. Candidate self-schedules with manager's final approval. Description : This position is for an IR PACU role. Candidates will rotate between 6am, 7am, and 8am start times. Late stays are expected as part of the schedule. Candidates will be responsible for phase 1 recovery and ICU patients. Expected to preoperatively prepare patients and care for them upon their return from procedures. Must monitor and manage pediatric patients. Candidates will work with a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics. The unit will maintain a daily census of approximately 50 patients. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential. Candidates must demonstrate competencies in PACU and ICU skills. Expectations include patient monitoring, medication reconciliation, and discharge instructions. Responding to call may include shifts on weekdays and weekends. Adherence to compliance requirements, including exams and skill assessments, is required.
