Certified Surgery Coder

A company is looking for a Coder Certified (Remote) - Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

Review medical record documentation to select appropriate diagnoses and procedures for billing

Code evaluation and management to appropriate CPT and ICD-9 codes

Assist coders and meet with physicians to ensure proper documentation and coding accuracy

Required Qualifications

Must possess one of the following coding credentials : AHIMA (CCA, CCS, CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A)

No specific work experience required

A diploma, certification, or degree is not required

Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred

Associate degree in Medical Coding & Billing preferred
