This International Pricing & Quoting Specialist position can be located in our Kansas City, Houston, or Chicago offices.

The International Quoting and Pricing Specialist positions will secure global business by performing external and internal customer engagement (quoting) via phone and e-mail; developing and maintaining strong, effective working relationships with both internal and external customers (overseas offices, network agents, customers); maintaining pricing databases within quoting tool(s); assisting in maintaining service integrity and customer satisfaction; providing feedback to team regarding routing improvement opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Noatum Logistics’ sales and operations organizations through effective communication and customer service in providing competitive quotes and securing business.
- Develop and maintain a full understanding of Air, LCL, FCL and domestic transportation.
- Utilize knowledge of TSA carrier regulations for the airfreight in selecting carrier appropriate for transport.
- Utilize both global operating system (CargoWise) and rate management software tools (CargoSphere and Web Cargo) to build rates.
- Follow standard quoting template for all requests and negotiating for key accounts rates.
- Support Tender Team in compiling Air, LCL, and FCL for large RFQ / RFP requests.
- Gather statistical data pertaining to additional sales / up-selling opportunities, re-quotes, and customer behavioral information.
- Provide feedback and data regarding competitive pricing and methodologies based on customer interactions.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of global service offerings to educate / engage the customer as their transportation needs require.
- Participate as an effective team member with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain courteous, prompt, and efficient customer relations.
- Comply with all necessary procedures to assure a clean, properly organized, safe and healthy environment for all personnel.
Minimum requirements
Two years college or equivalent combination of education and freight transportation experience.4-5 years transportation company (steamship line, airline, or NVOCC) experience, preferably in rating or pricing.Competent math skills using units of currency, weight, volume, and distance measurements.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret transportation tariffs including air, FCL, LCL.Knowledgeable in TSA carrier regulations and is a TSA approved user.Competency in PC, spreadsheets, and database applications (including Microsoft Office Suite).Demonstrated effective problem solving, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CargoWise, CargoSphere and / or WebCargo.College degree in business, transportation, or logistics.5+ years related industry experience.Freight pricing / procurement / tender experience.Established knowledge of carrier contracts and transpacific service options.Physical Requirements
