Senior Specialty Services Coder

A company is looking for a Sr. Specialty Services Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Manage staff and procedures to ensure efficient operations and maintain effective personnel relations

Provide daily guidance to coders, including answering questions and resolving issues

Monitor performance standards and assist with employee evaluations and feedback

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a healthcare-related field preferred

Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, regulatory requirements, and physician billing

Proficiency in ICD-9, ICD-10 coding, and CPT procedural coding

CPC or CCS-P certification preferred

Minimum two years of medical coding experience, preferably in emergency medicine
