Barista

Lincoln station is a bustling neighborhood cafe located steps away from the Brooklyn museum and Brooklyn Botanic gardens.   We serve specialty coffee and tea,  and have a full kitchen preparing freshly baked cakes, scones, and cookies, fresh sandwiches, salads, soups, rotisserie chickens and other simple cafe fare.

We're looking for a warm, outgoing, and friendly barista / counter person with excellent coffee and customer service skills for a part time position, 3-4 shifts a week. Ideal candidates should have previous barista experience, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and have the ability to multitask efficiently.

Our customers are loyal regulars whose drink you start as they walk through the door every morning, as well as visitors who have come to explore the Museum, Botanic gardens and surrounding beautiful neighborhoods.

• Properly prepare all beverages to the highest standards

• Steam milk correctly - latte art
• Work cleanly and efficiently under the pressures of a busy service while maintaining a friendly and welcoming attitude with both customers and colleagues.
• Proficient use of POS functions
• Work as a member of a team to maintain all aspects of the restaurant from set up to closing, cleaning, straightening the pastry case, wiping tables, emptying garbage cans, maintaining a clean, cared for and orderly environment
