Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) based in the Los Angeles area to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our pain management specialists to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with both acute and chronic pain conditions.
This role includes providing direct patient care, assisting with interventional procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes. Travel between Pacific Pain clinic locations will be required to support patient care and clinic operations. This position offers part-time hours with the potential to transition to full-time based on performance and clinic needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized pain management plans utilizing both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches.
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRIs, lab studies).
- Educate patients on pain management strategies, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Facilitate referrals to other specialists when appropriate.
- Assist with interventional pain procedures (experience with joint or trigger point injections is a plus).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records while ensuring compliance with regulatory and practice standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education to stay current with best practices.
- Understand and comply with insurance and authorization processes to ensure proper approvals.
- Traveling between clinic sites as needed.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.Current California state licensure and certification (NP or PA).Experience in pain management, orthopedics, or a related specialty preferred (training available for the right candidate).Proficiency in performing physical exams, interpreting diagnostics, and formulating treatment plans.Experience or willingness to train in interventional pain procedures (e.g., injections, nerve blocks).Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Willingness to travel between multiple Pacific Pain clinic locations.Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferredCompensation :
