Must-Have :

• Candidates must be open to working weekends.
• All requested time off must be included upon submission.
• Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
• Candidates must be separated from permanent staff for a minimum of 3 months to return as a traveler.
• Valid state licensure is necessary.

Description :

This position is for an inpatient Speech Language Pathologist.

The SLP will serve patients with various conditions ranging from ICU level to SNF / OP level.

Daily patient census ranges from 50 to 70 patients.

The team typically consists of 5-6 SLPs scheduled on weekdays and 3-4 on weekends.

Candidates will perform FEES and MBS, and all SLPs are required to complete MBS-IMP.

The patient population has limited post-acute discharge facility options, leading to longer hospital stays.

SLPs will be assessed for clinical readiness to cover ICU rotations, although it is not a requirement for this position.

Standard skills required include assessments, bedside swallow evaluations, patient and family education, and SLP evaluations.

Preferred experience includes working with various neurological conditions, as well as transfer training and video fluoroscopy.

All patient care will be documented using an electronic charting system.
