A public K-12 school in Auburn, Maine is seeking a certified Behavior Specialist to provide specialized support within the districts special education program. This contract role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans and supports for students in a collaborative educational setting.
Location : Auburn, Maine
Duration : Contract through June 12, 2026
Hours : 10-15 hours per week, onsite
Caseload : Support for district special education program
Number of Positions : 1
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with disabilities
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to promote positive behavioral supports
- Collect and analyze behavioral data to assess student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Provide staff training and consultation on behavior management strategies and best practice interventions
- Ensure pliance with state regulations and district policies regarding special education services
