Job Summary

The Lead Sign Installer will lead sign installation projects from start to finish. You’ll oversee installations, coordinate with clients and project managers, and manage a small team of installers. You’ll also ensure all work is safe, code-compliant, and meets our high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise installation of electric signs, including but not limited to :

• Channel letters
• Monument and pylon signs
• Electronic message centers (LED displays)
• Cabinet signs, backlit signs, etc.

Read and interpret designs, shop drawings, wiring schematics

Plan installation steps, coordinate logistics (material delivery, site access, power, permits, etc)

Train, mentor, and oversee helper installers

Operate equipment : bucket trucks, lifts, drills, saws, grinders, etc.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and company protocols

Troubleshoot and resolve on-site installation or electrical issues

Interact with clients or site personnel to address concerns or changes

Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle upkeep

Qualifications / Requirements

3+ years of experience in sign installation, electrical signage, or related trade

Strong knowledge of sign systems, wiring, mounting, structural support

Comfortable with working at heights, rigging, and lifting (with assistance)

Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus) and clean driving record

Ability to lead, delegate, and motivate a small crew

Strong problem-solving ability, good communication skills

Willingness to travel across project sites in Utah

Osha certified- Preferred

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation : Competitive hourly wage or salary (based on experience). Pay Range- $28-36

Benefits (subject to eligibility and waiting periods) :

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Work mostly outdoors in varied weather (heat, cold, wind)

Frequent climbing, lifting (heavy sign components, conduit, wiring)

Use of aerial lifts, scaffolding, rigging

Travel to remote project sites (overnight stays possible)

Must adhere to rigorous safety standards
