Job Summary and Qualifications :
The Pediatric ECMO Coordinator will function independently and collaboratively as an expert clinician, educator, consultant, and researcher in Extracorporeal Membranous Oxygenator (ECMO) Care. The ECMO Coordinator will coordinate the care of patients requiring ECMO and their families across the continuum of acuity in order to ensure consistent family-centered care. The ECMO Coordinator is dedicated to promoting optimal patient / family care by collaborating with all members of the Lung Rescue ICU and the Cardiovascular ICU Team to set best practices in patient care and staff practice standards according to evidence based guidelines. The ECMO Primer must have equivalent qualifications, competence and function in the same role as employed individuals performing the same or similar services at the facility, as defined by facility job description.
