First and Second - Year Experience

Job Summary

The Student Assistant will support the department of First and Second - Year Experience as a Flight Team Leader on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2026. Flight Team Leaders will work closely with the Graduate Assistants and staff in the Office of First and Second Year Experience to support administrative and logistical coordination of the Flight Leader Program. This includes assisting with training, supervision, and mentorship of Flight Leaders.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

• Execute all duties and expectations of a Flight Leader in supporting the instruction of one section of FLYT 1001
• Assist with the planning and delivery of Flight Leader Training beginning in spring 2025
• Support their assigned Graduate Assistant Supervisor with the planning and delivery of weekly / bi-weekly Flight Leader Meetings
• Communicate with Flight Leaders regarding program expectations, deadlines, training expectations, and leadership development
• Additional assistance / activities as requested by the Office of First and Second Year Experience
