[job_card.job_description]Responsible for production and processing equipment, refrigeration, boiler room, waste plant, building maintenance, seasonal preparation, and gas wells. Develops familiarity with the maintenance requirement of plant processing, production and seasonal operations through a thorough and continuing evaluation of production, processing and seasonal requirements, techniques, procedures, facilities and equipment. Maintains constant contact with production and processing supervision. Recommends and initiates changes to improve equipment operating performance, performs job estimates, work scheduling and budget control. Assures that maintenance operations are carrier out within established housekeeping and sanitation procedures, and applicable government regulations. Participates in all regular meetings as directed. Able to work safely around complex, automated machinery in a non-temperature regulated environment Strong troubleshooting skills Effective communication, including both written and verbal forms of collaboration Proactive in finding root cause and fixing issues Able to work independently and as part of a team Associates degree in a technical discipline related to machine maintenance and repair preferred, Journeyperson certification preferred. Minimum of four years related, applicable experience with machine maintenance and repair in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
