Position : RN-PACU-Post Anesthetic Care Unit (Travel / Contract)

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit.

Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery progress post-anesthesia.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery.

Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.

Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly.

Support a positive team environment focused on achieving targets.

Engage in performance measurement and improvement initiatives.

Experience / Qualifications

Current RN license in Texas and relevant certifications for PACU.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

Experience in post-anesthesia care or critical care nursing preferred.

Ability to administer medications and manage post-operative care effectively.

Strong adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.

Strong understanding of patient monitoring and vital sign assessment.

Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation of patient care.

Ability to collaborate effectively with surgical teams for patient transitions.

Excellent communication skills for patient and family education.

Experience with performance measurement and quality improvement initiatives.
