As a Security Officer Armed Government Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by patrolling designated areas by vehicle and / or foot. This role requires both an armed guard card and a valid driver's license. You will remain highly visible, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service as part of a team that values integrity, innovation, and teamwork.

What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.

Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.

Assist visitors and employees by providing information and directions while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.

Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and / or site management as needed during incidents or emergencies.

Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activities or hazards to the appropriate authorities.

Minimum Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
