We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Medical Oncologist to provide locum tenens coverage at a well-established facility in Beaufort, South Carolina . This is an urgent need beginning in September 2025 , with ongoing coverage required until a permanent physician is hired.

The physician will work 3–4 days per week from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch), seeing 7–15 patients per day . This is a general medical oncology position in a clinic setting , supported by one experienced APP . The APP functions independently, so no supervision is required.

There is no call , no weekends , and no trauma responsibilities , making this an excellent opportunity for providers seeking a work-life balanced schedule in a beautiful coastal town.

Requirements

✅ Position Requirements :

Degree : MD or DO

Fellowship : Completion of a Medical Oncology fellowship required

Board Certification :

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology (within 5 years)

Licensure :

Active South Carolina medical license or eligibility to obtain one

Background :

Must have a clean background to qualify for temporary privileges

Experience :

Prior experience in General Medical Oncology

Other :

Physicians only (no telehealth, no advanced practice providers)

Must be able to work on-site ; telehealth is not available
