Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation and drug screening, conducted in compliance with applicable federal and Oregon state laws. Consistent with Oregon's "Ban-the-Box" statute and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), we do not inquire into criminal history until after a conditional offer of employment has been extended. Convictions older than seven years will not be considered for most positions. If a consumer report is obtained, applicants will receive a clear and standalone disclosure; be required to provide written authorization; and, in the event of an adverse decision based in whole or in part on the report, will be provided with (a) a pre-adverse action notice including a copy of the report and a summary of their FCRA rights, (b) a reasonable opportunity-generally 5 business days-to review the report and respond, and (c) a final adverse action notice if the decision is maintained, including details on how to appeal or dispute the information. As part of our drug-free workplace policy, all applicants must submit to a drug screening prior to employment. Although recreational marijuana is legal in Oregon, our policy-aligned with both federal and state regulations-requires all applicants to test negative for THC prior to employment. Testing will be conducted through certified laboratories under chain-of-custody procedures and reviewed by a Medical Review Officer. Advance notice and written consent are required. We apply testing standards uniformly and comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by considering legitimate medical explanations for any positive results. In addition to pre-employment testing, employees may be subject to random drug testing, as well as testing following workplace accidents or when reasonable suspicion exists. All testing will be conducted in accordance with our written policy and applicable law.
