Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 1+ years of experience and SC license for a fast-paced outpatient clinic assignment.
Responsibilities
Outpatient clinic setting specializing in mammography
Daily caseload averages 55 with a minimum expectation of 20 screening mammograms per day
Procedures include both screening and diagnostic mammograms
Operates Siemens Revelations and Hologic Dimension mammography equipment
Uses Epic for charting
Day shift schedule, 5x8s from 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm, Monday through Friday
No weekend or on-call requirements
Floating to sister facilities within scope is required as needed
Duties include performing high-volume screening and diagnostic mammograms independently
Teamwork, autonomy, excellent communication, flexibility, and a positive attitude are essential
Must be willing to float to sister facilities as needed
Unit orientation provided on site
All RTO must be requested prior to submission; approval is based on facility need
Scrub attire requires any shade of pink or dark teal top and black bottom
During hurricane season (June–November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
Block scheduling is not guaranteed and must receive facility approval
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
Active BLS, ARRT (M), and SCRQSA (M) certifications
Current South Carolina state license required; license required if applicable
Must be proficient with Siemens Revelations and Hologic Dimension equipment
Experience performing both screening and diagnostic mammograms
Epic EMR experience preferred
Locals must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate; locals may be considered at a lesser rate
First-time travelers will be considered
Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility system for at least 1 year prior to return
