A company is looking for a Director AI Strategy and Innovation to guide artificial intelligence initiatives in support of the U.S. Department of Energy.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and drive an AI strategy aligned with DOE mission priorities and scientific roadmaps

Lead multidisciplinary teams in designing and implementing AI solutions to enhance operational efficiency and scientific productivity

Identify and advance AI-driven opportunities with DOE programs and other partners, while advocating for the Lab's AI capabilities

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's or PhD preferred in relevant fields

5-10+ years of experience in AI / ML, scientific computing, or advanced analytics

Experience leading AI / ML projects with senior stakeholder engagement

Demonstrated ability to build partnerships within federal R&D or scientific institutions

Knowledge of AI governance and federal compliance standards
