We are seeking applicants for a Senior Accountant role with an excellent client in Greensboro. This is an immediate need so applicants should be available to start immediately. The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role serves as a key contributor to maintaining compliance with GAAP, strengthening internal controls, and supporting audits and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and depreciation
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
- Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies in financial results
- Assist with process improvements and documentation of accounting procedures
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP preferred
Pay Details: $31.00 to $36.00 per hour
