Supervises : At the discretion of the Distribution and Processing Manager provides support and oversight of personnel at Centralized Processing Facility.

Position Summary :

The Processing and Distribution Assistant Manager provides critical support to the Processing and Distribution Facility. Working closely with the Processing and Distribution Manager their primary responsibility is to assist in overseeing all operations ensuring maximum efficiency and contributing to the revenue generation through the production of donated goods aligning with the mission of Goodwill of Mississippi.

Primary Duties :

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of textile production and support in training associates.
• Assists in monitoring merchandise pricing to comply with company procedures and standards.
• Provides support in supervising motivating and when necessary disciplining Centralized Processing Facility employees.
• Aids in the scheduling of Centralized Processing Facility employees and coordinates daily assignments.
• Assists in the preparation of personnel and payroll records and other necessary paperwork for daily store operations.
• Supports efforts to maintain a neat clean and orderly work environment.
• Adheres to company policies and safety procedures and supports others in doing the same.
• Actively participates in team meetings to discuss and enhance safety productivity methods processes and quality.
• Collaborates with mission services staff to support trainees placed on site.
• Supports in maintaining an adequate volume of merchandise ensuring production volume aligns with revenue goals.
• Sets a positive example for employees and trainees in all professional performance aspects.
• Assists in meeting or exceeding the quality and quantity of donated items processed exceeding the companys processing goal for the Processing and Distribution Facility

Education :

High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
