Job Title : Data Base Administrator (DBA) / Data Architect
Location : Washington, D.C.
Skills and Experience Required :
- Hands-on database architecture, administration, and performance tuning.
- Strong proficiency with relational database systems : Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
- Ability to capture data requirements, translate them into technical requirements and then architect and develop the supporting data model and data management solution.
- Expertise in database design, data modeling (logical and physical), and normalization.
- Deep knowledge of backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies (e.g., replication, clustering, failover).
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
- Experience with data governance, security, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Cloud database experience : AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud Spanner, etc.
