Description :

West Desert Pharmacy is a small community retail pharmacy located in Peoria, AZ. Our pharmacy cares about quality customer service. We are looking for a pharmacist to work 5 days a week, Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm.

Job Responsibilities and Tasks :

  • Processing and Verifying Prescriptions
  • Ordering and Restocking Medications
  • Counseling patients regarding their prescriptions and any other questions
  • Having excellent communication skills, Amazing Customer Service is Essential
  • Compounding Medications
  • Working with patients to get the cheapest price possible for them
  • Calling and answering all physician questions
  • Training new staff (i.e. Technicians, etc.)

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the state of Arizona
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist preferred in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance.

    • Hourly Pay will be determined by prior experience.
