Location :   Longmont, CO (onsite) Experience :  A minimum of 3 years performing multiphysical finite element analysis in a professional or academic setting.  Minimum Education :   Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or related technical field. Compensation :   $120,000-$180,000 depending on experience.

Summary : The Opto-Mechanical Engineering Analyst will perform rigorous, multiphysical analysis on complex components and systems to support the development of effective and ruggedized high energy laser technologies. This role will require the utilization of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other engineering evaluation techniques to support the creation of manufacturing-friendly, cost-optimized solutions, that meet or exceed functional design goals.

• Perform detailed analysis on opto-mechanical systems using finite element analysis, analytical approaches, and numeric methods.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists across disciplines to define requirements, constraints, and analysis goals.
• Work closely with engineering designers to translate CAD models into analyzable forms and iterate their designs towards more optimal solutions.
• Utilize project and configuration management tools to track and document assigned tasks.
