[job_card.job_description]Registered Nurse position at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history and occasional Chemotherapy administration Target Ratios : 1 : 6-7 Shift : NIGHTS RTO : 7 days MAX. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48. Call Requirement : Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift. Float Requirement : Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding. Weekend Requirement : EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED. Minimum Years of Experience : 1 year Traveler Experience : Will accept 1st time travelers. Locals Accepted / Rate Difference : Yes Skills : Administer chemo, Experience in an inpatient setting, Med / Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care / Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Chemotherapy Administration, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson / Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care / Wound Vac Certs : Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start; required to obtain prior to start. Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert! BLS. Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster. Attendance to monthly staff meetings. Unit Orientation : 24 hrs (2 shifts) Unit Systems : PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR Required documentation includes : W4, State Specific W4, I9, Permanent Tax Declaration Form, Drivers License / State ID, Social Security Card, Voided Check, Emergency Contact Form, EOE Forms, E-Verify, Arbitration Agreement, Medical Refusal of Coverage.
