DATA ENTRY OPERATOR

Specific Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Entry Operators and apply fundamental principles and practices, arithmetic, office procedures, filing practices, and essential computer skills.
• Accurately input data from Newborn Screening and Microbiology laboratory specimen forms into the laboratory information management systems and Specimen Gate; this demographic information forms the basis for laboratory tracking and reporting.
• Verify data entry and perform other miscellaneous clerical duties as required by the supervisor or designee.
• Assist in mailing laboratory specimen reports, including printing labels, stuffing envelopes, sorting reports, and delivering them to the mail room.
• Provide assistance to the Customer Services Unit as needed.
