Family Practice Nurse Practitioner (Outreach Clinic)

Reporting to the Director, Community Based (Outreach) Programs and Services, and working in collaboration with the clinic supervisors, this position is responsible for the provision of primary medical care to patients in the Family Clinics. May work in more than one clinic location, and the work hours may vary and include weekends and evenings. Advance practice nursing services are provided in accordance with professional practice guidelines and the State Board of Registered Nursing. As a senior member of the clinic staff, the nurse practitioner is responsible for providing leadership to the clinic staff and participating in performance improvement activities. This position has Exempt status.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current, valid and unrestricted California registered nurse and Nurse Practitioner license required.
• Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner Program and MSN degree required.
• Furnishing number/license required.
• Current DEA certificate or possess the ability to attain a DEA certificate required.
• Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association required.
• National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner required (AANP or ANCC).
• Possess the knowledge and skills required to meet Redlands Community Hospital medical staff criteria, and must be appointed to the medical staff.
• At least three years of professional work experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient primary care setting or related clinical area required.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred.
