Responsibilities

Carrying out all policies and procedures established by the Governing Board in accordance with the philosophy and practices of the Hospital.

Presenting periodic reports to the Governing Board or its authorized committees reflecting the financial activities of the hospital.

Planning, organizing and influencing department activities and ensuring financial records of the hospital are maintained following generally accepted accounting standards.

Preparing an annual operating capital expenditure and cash flow budget showing the expected receipts and expenditures and such other information as required by the organization, and submitting budgets for approval.

Supervising financial affairs to ensure that funds are collected and expended to the best possible advantage and within the provisions of the annual budgets.

Setting realistic goals and meeting those goals through set criteria that measure effective outcomes, focus and drive.

Demonstrating flexibility and being willing to make changes in work schedule and assignments to meet changing demands and priorities.

Employing analytical abilities, pragmatism, and other tools to resolve complex problems in a variety of contexts.

Identifying problems and possible solutions, contributing to organizational performance improvement.

Maintaining the ability to connect processes, events, and systems, demonstrating a balance between process orientation and big-picture thinking.

Identifying with and sharing in the organization’s commitment to mission, philosophy and goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance or closely related field.

Extensive knowledge of Health Care Accounting practices and principles.

Progressively responsible position in the Accounting profession.

Five to seven years experience in hospital accounting / finance required; two years in management preferred.

Management of hospital financial issues related to budgeting, cash management, capital finance, and performance evaluations.

Proficiency with end-to-end hospital revenue cycle operations.

In-depth knowledge of insurance matters, regulations, reimbursement, information systems and plant operations.

Familiarity with computer accounting programs.

CPA preferred.

Membership and active participation in ACHE and / or other professional organization preferred.

Prime Healthcare Management Inc. offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $250,000.00 to $280,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
