Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Video QA SDET, Apple for a large media and entertainment client. This person will design and implement test infrastructure for validating video player features for consumer facing applications across all of this client's networks. The SDET will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test suites for mobile and TV applications. This will be both manual as well as automation testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Apple automation testing, and experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks. In this role you will test video on the Apple platform, quality of experience, validate analytics and API calls, and test video playback etc.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong programming skills in at least one language, such as Java, Javascript, Python, preferably Javascript

Experience with automation frameworks and tools, such as Appium, codeceptJS, etc

Experience with API testing tools, such as Postman

Strong knowledge of Apple application testing methodologies and practices

Experience with Agile software development methodologies

Basic Knowledge of Swift and XCUITest Framework

Familiarity with video streaming technologies, HLS, CMAF

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with video QoE metrics, ABR algorithms, AV Player, AV Foundation

Experience with analytics platforms (Conviva, Segment, Mux)

Experience with cloud-based testing platforms, such as AWS Device Farm, Headspin or Firebase Test Lab
