Tammy Power, Recruiting Manager with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Controller to join a thriving healthcare organization in Bakersfield, California. In this role, you will take the lead in managing the financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and driving compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee all aspects of full-cycle accounting, including general ledger activities, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end close processes.
- Prepare precise financial statements, reports, and analyses to support executive leadership in strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain strong internal controls across accounting operations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with various departments to facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Lead and mentor finance staff, encouraging attention to detail and high performance within the team.
- Monitor and evaluate financial systems to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for organizational growth.
- Partner with leadership to align financial strategies with broader business objectives.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure adherence to all applicable standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3 years in a leadership role as a Controller or similar.
- Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proven expertise in internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on accuracy.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring finance teams.
- Familiarity with the healthcare industry or multi-location organizations is highly desirable.
