Job Title : Construction Laborer

Pay : $18-$22 / hr.

Location : Buffalo, NY

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced construction laborer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over a year of experience working on construction job sites, possess a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation. You should be comfortable working at heights of up to 10 feet and operating scissor lifts. Additionally, candidates must have the ability to read a tape measure and either possess or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut insulation to cover surfaces using tape measures, handsaws, knives, and scissors.
• Remove or seal off old insulation following safety procedures.
• Fit insulation around obstructions and shape insulating materials and protective coverings as required.
• Determine the amounts and types of insulation needed and methods of installation based on location, surface shape, and equipment use.
• Apply, remove, and repair insulation, thermal, and fire-related materials on industrial and domestic equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, tanks, pipework, and vessels to help control noise and maintain temperatures.
• Select appropriate insulation materials such as mineral wool, fiberglass, foams, or other materials based on the heat-retaining or excluding characteristics of the material.
• Seal or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with covers of metallic or other materials.

Work Environment

You will be working in large manufacturing plants and commercial businesses. The shift starts at 6 AM and ends at 3 PM, with overtime opportunities available on Saturdays, totaling over 50 hours a week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 / hr.
