Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Water Resources Project Manager to take on a hybrid role that combines project management and business development. A Bachelor’s degree in civil, water resources, or environmental engineering is required. The position involves working on a variety of projects including low impact designs, residential subdivisions, commercial sites, roadway drainage, master planning, urban stormwater retrofits, stormwater treatment, hydraulic analyses, and flood hazard mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop project and client opportunities to expand the firm's water resources sector through networking events.
• Create and manage contracts, budgets, and billings.
• Assist in water resources permitting efforts.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews on deliverables including reports, calculations, and engineering plans.
• Present at conferences to support business development activities.

Essential Skills

• Experience in stormwater management design, contracts, client management, and project management.
• Proficiency in 2D modeling and understanding of design standards for jurisdictions in the Portland metro area.
• Experience with software such as XPSWMM/XPSTORM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-1, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Certified Floodplain Manager is a bonus.
• Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling is desired.
• Experience in site development studies and water resource management.

Work Environment

The role is primarily based in an office environment from 8 am to 5 pm with a one-hour lunch break. However, it includes significant business development activities requiring travel, thus offering a hybrid work schedule. The office is equipped with a gym and an outdoor working area. The company culture is vibrant, with various outings such as game nights, karaoke, and ski nights. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR.

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $72.15/hr.
