Shifts : 15 x 24-hour shifts

Practice Setting : Pediatric Hospitalist (Newborn Coverage Only)

Types of Cases : Newborn care, no pediatric inpatients otherwise.

# of Patients per Hour : ADE (Average Daily Encounters) : 3.6

Ages : Newborns

EMR : Cerner

Requirements : Must be Board-Certified in Pediatrics. COVID vaccine or exemption required.

Other : The position requires 24-hour shifts with a 30-minute call range. Locum providers must respond to codes alongside Hospital Medicine (HM). No specific procedures are required of locums. Credentialing takes up to 90 days, which may be shortened for candidates with a clean file. Temporary privileges are granted. Candidates who can only work weekends or need to travel are considered. The census during the day includes 8 physicians, with half of the patients admitted. During the night shift, half of the admissions are expected, with fewer patients covered at night than during the day.
